Higher Orbits Go For Launch! Space Inspired STEM Event Landing at Kennedy Space Center Visitors Center Next Week!
Higher Orbits Galactic HQ – 18 July 2023 – Go For Launch! is headed back to the Space Coast of Florida 24-26 July 2023 with Astronaut Mike Foreman along with a number of aerospace professionals. The hands-on flagship program
The hands-on flagship program of Higher Orbits spotlights the wonders of spaceflight and space exploration to provide students across the country the opportunity to develop and strengthen their skills in STEM, teamwork, communication, research design, and leadership. While focusing on spaceflight, Go For Launch! students work alongside a featured astronaut at each event to learn and develop important skills that can be applied in any professional field.
Go For Launch! Space Coast is a part of the Higher Orbits 2023 Series. The winner of this overall series will have their experiment built by Space Tango and sent to the International Space Station.
“Space Inspires! And the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Center inspires so we are over the moon to be able to host this Space Coast event at this venue where there is space at every turn. We are looking forward to welcoming out of this world students from all over to work with Astronaut Mike Foreman and compete for the chance to have their ideas launched to the International Space Station,” said Michelle Lucas, Founder and Chief Executive of Higher Orbits.
Open to students in grads 8-12 (including rising 8th graders and recently graduated seniors) from anywhere, Go For Launch! Space Coast will be held July 24-26, 2023 at Kennedy Space Center. Interested students can register online at www.GoForLaunch.space. Financial aid is available to students who need assistance to be able to attend this event.
Students will be mentored at this event by Astronaut Mike Foreman as well as a variety of professionals from the aerospace industry.
