Shopping on the Space Coast!

Admittedly, I don’t suspect that shopping is something you thought I would blog about but when it comes to somewhere you can go shop for great space swag, how could I not?!

For years there has been this out of this world wonderful family-owned shop out the “back gate” area of Kennedy Space Center – Space Shirts! In the heyday of the Space Shuttle, they were known for doing shirts for every single mission and often times would even do the family shirts for each of the Astronauts on the flights. For those of you who might have visited the area during that era, they are located right across from Shuttles (a place that was known for space peeps gathering!)

At Space Shirts you can still pickup shuttle-era t-shirts, but you can also find a variety of current space themed merchandise as well including DreamChaser items as well as ISS Expeditions.

Whenever I am in town I of course make it a point to visit and see what new fun space swag items they might have and I absolutely always find something new that needs to come home with me.

But it’s not just a store to shop in, if you need custom items for promos or t-shirts… they do that too! Space Shirts does all our Go For Launch! event t-shirts and every single one turns out absolutely stellar. After years of shopping with them I reached out when we started doing these programs and they have been our go-to for all our event t-shirt needs! We love working with them.

My favorite part about Space Shirts isn’t actually all the great space stuff though… it’s the people. The owners are wonderful humans as is everyone who works there. Friendly people who are incredibly helpful… and passionate about the space program.

So if you’re in the area, I hope you’ll stop by and visit Space Shirts. Be sure and tell them that Higher Orbits says Hi!
