Higher Orbits Launches to Wisconsin for Go For Launch! Hudson
Through Support from Club For the Future and Space St. Croix Partnership

Higher Orbits Galactic HQ – Nov. 3, 2022 – Higher Orbits is taking Go For Launch! to Hudson High School this December 10 & 11 thanks to their "Your Future Flies With Us" opportunity through the generous support of Club For The Future and out of this world leadership from Space St. Croix Founder, Christopher Mick.

“I am so excited to have brought a Go For Launch! program here to Hudson. I know the students are going to have an amazing experience working alongside an astronaut and a mission controller. This is an amazing opportunity and is the reason I started Space St. Croix in the first place, to bring programs and resources here that students would not otherwise have access to,” said Christopher Mick, Education and Outreach Director of Space St. Croix

The hands-on flagship program of Higher Orbits spotlights the wonders of spaceflight and space exploration to provide students across the country the opportunity to develop and strengthen their skills in STEM, teamwork, communication, research design, and leadership. While focusing on spaceflight, Go For Launch! students work alongside a featured astronaut at each event to learn and develop important skills that can be applied in any professional field.

This event will complete the Higher Orbits 2022 Series which also includes Go For Launch!  Bismarck-Mandan and Go For Launch! Utah. The winning experiment will be picked from amongst the 3 events to be launched to the International Space Station.

Go For Launch! Hudson, WI is made possible through the annual “Your Future Flies with Us!” competition. Through the support of Blue Origin’s Club for the Future, towns across the United States competed to host a fully funded Go For Launch! event in their community. Christopher applied for his community during Higher Orbits’ inaugural launch of this opportunity and won.

“Space Inspires! We are grateful for the incredible support provided by Club For The Future so that the “Your Future Flies With Us” initiative could be possible. We cannot wait to bring Go For Launch! to the Hudson community and the state of Wisconsin for the first time,” said Michelle Lucas, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Higher Orbits.

Higher Orbits is also grateful for the support provided by their Diversity and Inclusion Board of BRPH, AIAA, Burns & McDonnell, Dunmore Aerospace, Iridium, Paragon SDC and their organizational partners, OBAP.

Open to students grades 8 through 12, Go For Launch! Hudson, WI will be held December 10-11, 2022 at Hudson High School, the host partner for this event. Interested students can register online at: https://higherorbits.org/events/go-for-launch-hudson-wi/. Financial aid is available to students who need assistance to be able to attend this event.
