Sean Wilson

Sean Wilson is a communications leader with almost three decades in the space industry. After serving four years in the Air Force (go 2SOPS!), Sean took a position at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in the International Space Station payload integration office. This job set her on an exciting career trajectory at JSC where she went on to support several organizations including biological systems education outreach, crew healthcare systems astronaut training, and NASA public affairs.

After taking a leap from NASA, Sean went on to manage public relations for several space companies at a communications agency and landed at Orbital Sciences as the director of strategic communications. Through the merger with ATK and subsequent acquisition by Northrop Grumman, Sean continued to lead strategic communications and media relations for the company’s space business. Currently, Sean is the director of technical communications at The Aerospace Corporation where she leads a stellar team responsible for supporting their customers’ vital missions through strategic events, digital communications, and technical publications.

A Houston native, Sean holds both a B.A. and an M.A. in Communications from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and currently lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, Charles, and her two kids, Ava and Evan.
