Welcome To Our New Intern, Kylie Pearson!

Hello all! My name is Kylie Pearson, and I am a total space buff.

Growing up in the evergreen state of Washington, I was always interested in the mystery of what lies beyond our planet. Embarking on camping trips with my family in areas with little to no light pollution showed me just how beautiful the night sky could be. Those experiences sparked a deep desire to learn about our universe and inspired me to eventually attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where I am currently getting a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a Minor in Space Operations.

As a student at Embry-Riddle, I found that I was able to surround myself with like-minded and inspiring people. Having the opportunity to immerse myself in an environment where there was an intense focus on aerospace has been a driving force in my personal ambitions. Through a very inspiring professor at Embry-Riddle, I was introduced to Michelle, the CEO of Higher Orbits. After communicating with her over the span of a couple of months and showcasing some of my creative work, I eventually got the absolutely stellar opportunity to be a Communications Intern for the summer of 2026!

As a communications student with a love for space, this opportunity will allow me to combine my interests in a way that will hopefully encourage many individuals to shoot for the stars. Getting to be a part of a non-profit with such astronomical objectives and being able to help with their mission is one of the greatest opportunities I have had since becoming a student at Embry-Riddle.

As an older sister of four, getting the chance to inspire young minds through the Go For Launch! program is something that I know will be fulfilling. The thought that this is something that could impact future generations really warms my heart, and I am so excited to get started!
