Higher Orbits Go For Launch! Space Inspired STEM Event Landing at Kennedy Space Center Visitors Center Next Week!

Higher Orbits Galactic HQ – November 6, 2023 – The Go For Launch! program is set to be held at Schaumburg, Illinois 9-10 December 2023 with Astronaut Mike Foreman along with other aerospace professionals.

The hands-on flagship program of Higher Orbits spotlights the wonders of spaceflight and space exploration to provide students across the country the opportunity to develop and strengthen their skills in STEM, teamwork, communication, research design, and leadership. While focusing on spaceflight, Go For Launch! students work alongside a featured astronaut at each event to learn and develop important skills that can be applied in any professional field. This event’s featured astronaut is Mike Foreman, who has completed two missions to the International Space Station, STS-123 and STS-129.

Go For Launch! TMA is a part of the Higher Orbits 2023 Series. The winner of this overall series will have their experiment built by Space Tango and sent to the International Space Station.

Open to students in grades 8-12 from anywhere, Go For Launch! TMA will be held December 9-10, 2023, at the Technology and Manufacturing Association headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. Interested students can register online at www.GoForLaunch.space.  Financial aid is available to students who need additional assistance to be able to attend this event.

Students will be mentored at this event by Astronaut Mike Foreman as well as a variety of professionals from the aerospace industry.
