Sariah Fischer is the Director of Business Development at Interlune, where she leverages her expertise in public-private partnerships to meet the demands of the commercial space industry. Drawn to Interlune for its visionary approach to building an in-space economy and pushing the boundaries of space exploration, Sariah plays a key role in advancing the company’s mission to develop commercially viable lunar infrastructure and accelerate humanity’s progress toward an off-world future.
In her role, Sariah leads Interlune’s efforts to secure US government funding, with a focus on the Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, and the Department of Energy. Her work ensures government priorities align with Interlune’s strategic roadmap to support the company’s growth and long-term goals in space.
Sariah brings a deep understanding of relationship-building in emerging industries, particularly in the rapidly evolving commercial space sector. Prior to joining Interlune, she was the Director of Partnerships at SpiderOak Mission Systems, a space cybersecurity startup, where she oversaw contracts between partners and government customers, helping grow revenue and space heritage through the application of zero-trust software in hybrid space.
Before SpiderOak, Sariah worked at Deloitte, leading a team of consultants supporting the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. She played a key role in transforming cybersecurity, supply chain management, and the adoption of commercial technologies for the US Space Force's launch deltas.
In addition to her work at Interlune, Sariah actively advocates for the commercial space industry through her involvement with the SmallSat Alliance, a consortium of over 70 companies working to transform government-led space capabilities. She serves on the board of the Washington Space Business Roundtable (WSBR) and frequently contributes to space industry publications such as Forbes, SpaceNews, and Aviation Week. Committed to fostering the next generation of space leaders, she also chairs the SmallSat Alliance’s Collegiate Space Competition, which encourages students across disciplines—not just traditional STEM majors—to tackle pivotal industry policy challenges and attract new talent to the space sector.
With her experience in government acquisition, business development, and commercial space advocacy, Sariah is helping shape the future of space exploration and commercial opportunities in the sector.
