Mrs. Robin Osborne, an engineer with ERC in the Jacobs Space Exploration Group at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, is a subject matter expert in the design, test, and evaluation of rocket engine ignition systems. She serves as the NASA component lead for the Augmented Spark Igniter for the RS-25 engine, which is the core stage engine for NASA’s Space Launch System. In 2015 she received a Silver Snoopy Award from the NASA Astronaut Corps for her work on spark ignition systems, and in 2016 she was named Engineer of the Year by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).  She is an AIAA Associate Fellow, as well as the Pre-College Outreach Director for the AIAA Greater Huntsville Section.  Mrs. Osborne earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and Vanderbilt University, respectively.
