If you’ve taken a look at the Cosmic Cocktails Eventbrite page – https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cosmic-cocktails-tickets-11664281179 – you may be wondering… “What in the World are Lucky Star Swag Bags?”
Lucky Star Swag Bags are an idea conceived from some work I did with a previous organization’s fundraising event. The idea being that you buy a string of beads (think like Mardi Gras) that has a number associated with it. Each number is associated with a “prize” that is valued at more than you paid for the beads. For example, if you pay $10 for a set of beads the items in the bag are with at least $12 but potentially worth much much more with the chance that your number is the one “grand prize” that is available. There’s always 1 “grand prize” that is much more valuable such as an upscale dinner gift certificate, autographed memorabilia or hotel stay.
Since our obvious theme is Space I decided to go with Lucky Star Swag Bags to keep with that.
These are a fun item that even if you don’t want to participate in the auction you might want to buy one (or more!) of these! You never know what awesome things will be in there!
