One of my favorite parts about experiencing the launch I attended for Higher Orbits was meeting Astronaut Wendy Lawrence. It was really cool having dinner with her up at the space bar and getting pictures! When my mom and I visited the Kennedy Space Center we noticed that Wendy was on the Atlantis space shuttle. It was really cool to see the signed mission patch in one of the hallways and knowing that you got to meet such a special person. Enjoy celebrating and Happy National Astronaut Day!
