March 10, 2026, Higher Orbits Galactic HQ- Higher Orbits is excited to announce the dates for its Annual Galactic Golf Fundraising event. On June 2, 2026, golfers will join former NASA astronauts Nicole Stott, Michael Good and Gregory Johnson at the Glen Club in Glenview, IL, to raise funds that support the mission of STEAM outreach across the US.
Higher Orbits is a non-profit with the mission to inspire and engage high-school students through the use of spaceflight, in hands-on, project based learning experiences that are designed to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) and prepare them for future academic and career success by building confidence, perseverance, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.
Higher Orbits is celebrating 10 years of its flagship Go For Launch! Programs in 2026, and will also be celebrating its 100th Go For Launch! event this June. Over the last decade the STEAM organization has worked with thousands of students across 23 states, sent 24 student experiments to space, and has five more manifested to launch this year and next.
Sign ups to participate in the golfing day are now open at HigherOrbits.org. Higher Orbits is also soliciting sponsors and donations to make the fundraiser a success.
