Higher Orbits’ Go For Launch! Program Set to Touch Down in Utah for the First Time Thanks to Partnership with Northrop Grumman and Holland & Hart

Higher Orbits Galactic HQ – June 13, 2022 – Students can compete to send their science experiment into space through Higher Orbits’ Go For Launch! Utah event presented in partnership with Northrop Grumman and Holland & Hart, this July 7-8.

“We at Northrop Grumman are delighted to sponsor the Higher Orbits Go For Launch! event in Utah. We’re proud of the work we do that enables human space exploration and are excited for local students to have an opportunity for such a great experience,” said Wendy Williams, Vice President of Propulsions Systems at Northrop Grumman.

Higher Orbits’ host partner, Holland & Hart is also looking forward to helping provide a space for stellar students in their community to experience this out-of-this-world event.

“Holland & Hart is thrilled to support Higher Orbits’ Salt Lake City Go For Launch! program. We are excited to welcome Utah students into our offices and to give them the opportunity to learn first-hand the impact of space exploration on their lives and the opportunities they have to participate. It is sure to be an eye-opening experience,” said Loren R Hulse, Partner/Attorney.

This partnership will help bring Higher Orbits and Go For Launch! into the state of Utah for the first time ever.

“Space Inspires! Higher Orbits is over the moon to bring the first-ever Go For Launch! Utah to Salt Lake City. We are truly grateful for the support of Northrop Grumman and Holland & Hart in making this event possible,” said Michelle Lucas, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Higher Orbits.

Higher Orbits is also grateful for the support provided by their Diversity and Inclusion Board of BRPH, AIAA, Burns & McDonnell, Dunmore Aerospace, Iridium, Paragon SDC and their organizational partners, OBAP.

The hands-on flagship program of Higher Orbits spotlights the wonders of spaceflight and space exploration to provide students across the country the opportunity to develop and strengthen their skills in STEM, teamwork, communication, research design, and leadership. While focusing on spaceflight, Go For Launch! students work alongside a featured astronaut at each event to learn and develop important skills that can be applied in any professional field.

Open to students grades 8 through 12, Go For Launch! Utah will be held July 7-8, 2022, at Holland & Hart, the host partner for this event. Interested students can register online at: https://higherorbits.org/events/go-for-launch-utah/
